February – Launch of new survey
We’ve all been hearing in the media about the state of the economy, but at Business Blueprints we took a decision in early January that we should conduct our own research - even if only on our own doorstep - to understand just exactly what the impact of the recession as been on people’s outlooks and behaviours to date.
Launched in February, Citypoll is a new survey which we’ve trialled initially in Brighton & Hove. We’ve used a combination of face-to-face street interviews and web-based surveying techniques to measure exactly how people are acting and feeling in the current economic climate. It has been an interesting experience being our “own client” since although we have visibility to a wealth of research findings, the ownership of all data resides with our clients and therefore there is no real opportunity for us to share any insights with a wider public.
We have already achieved coverage in The Argus and we aim to publish top line results through them in early March. Results will be collated for Brighton & Hove and compared to a similar national survey, running concurrently using our own database.
