March - Spring in the air

As hopefully the weather warms up, the 2009 gets into full swing for us here at BBL as we begin another major wave of annual shopping centre surveys. Over the next 3 months or so we'll be processing some 600,000 pieces of data from over 10,000 shoppers in shopping centres from the north of Scotland down to Devon and as far east as the Kent coast.

As well as tracking operational performance in each scheme and being able to compare this to the estate average we are able to assess real change in behaviour as a result of the current recession since for most centres we have annual data stretching back over the past 5 years. At the same time we are in the process of updating our own Bbenchmark(tm), which will be based on the results of more than 350 UK studies involving nearly 200,000 shoppers. This will provide the most robust set of shopping operational statistics for such measures as dwell time, visit frequency, conversion and spend available in the country.

If you would like to conduct consumer behaviour research to understand your customers' KPIs, please contact Paul Latimer on 01273 670700.
